Avington was created in 2015 by Ben Livingstone, an experienced sound recordist with over 20 years of experience in Film and TV. If there is an on-set problem with sound equipment you can guarantee Ben has experienced it and solved it.

As a professional sound recordist, Ben was always looking for the perfect kit, for the specific needs that sound recordists have. Eventually, he realised he’d have to create his own and was immediately asked to supply other professionals. He set up Avington and has been inventing, creating, and supplying the industry with bespoke solutions ever since.
